St. John's Church Woodley
At St. John's we again faced the problem of extending a listed Victorian church. The addition of a South aisle to balance the existing north aisle, together with a new chapel and vestry ,was achieved by introducing a new line of columns and arches to support the roof. The existing windows were incorporated into the new lower wall by forming dormers. A strong feature was the use of flint walling to match the existing. |
