Royal Russell School
  Queen Anne's School

The building (above) forms a new wing which gives a greater sense of enclosure to the grassed court in front of the existing main school. The library and new cladssrooms link to the existing teaching areas via a fully glazed staircase atrium. The building responds to the strong style of the original buildings with the new stone details combined with modern materials. The headmaster's entrance leads to a new administration suite.
The building was opened by Her Majesty the Queen. After completion, the project was nominated for an award by the local Civic Trust.

The two storey building (left) faces the main entrance to the campus and was designed as a symmetrical facade on a raised plinth to give visual prominence to this important location. There are two floors with the main library on the lower level, and the smaller archive and reading rooms above.
