The
main hall provides space for all major sports with an upper level
viewing gallery. Two glass-backed squash courts and changing rooms
with a fitness studio are located in the two-storey section built
on the upper level of the site.
The photographs illustrate the main sports hall cut into the
steeply sloping site to reduce the visual impact of this large
building on the existing school which overlooks the site. Daylighting
to the sports hall and squash courts is achieved by diffuse indirect
roof-lighting over the central viewing gallery to avoid glare
to the users.
